Door to Door Pricing Increase 2009 - Questions and Answers Q. When is the price rise effective from? A. Door to Door prices will change on February 23rd 2009, affecting distributions on or after 6th April 2009. Q. How much is the price rise? A. A raise of around 3.5% - this is below the current rate of inflation of 4.6% Q. When do I need to have bookings confirmed by in order to get the current prices? A. Bookings must be confirmed by 5pm on Monday 23rd February 2009. Q. If I make changes to a confirmed booking after 23rd February 2009, will the new prices take effect? A. Any change to a confirmed contract that has an effect on the volume or price (i.e. cancellations, adding to contracts, weight increase or audience change) that is subsequently confirmed will automatically change the whole contract to new pricing. Managing ‘Leaflet Design’ will NOT update the contract to new prices. Q. Will there be a change to the New User incentive price? A. For items weighing up to 20g there will be an increase of £3 per thousand items – The increase is because of covering our costs and that we have changed the dates in order to attract more New Users. Q. Will there be a change to the New User incentive rules? A. Yes, we are changing the date so that a New User is defined as never used Door to Door or not used the service after 6th April 2007. Q. Will there be a change to the Late Sales price? A. For items weighing up to 20g there will be an increase of £2.50 per thousand items. The increase is because of covering our costs and that our capacity availability has changed significantly. Q. When do the new prices for the New User and Late Sales incentives take effect from? A. Any bookings made on or after w/c 9th March 2009 (for Late Sales deliveries in weeks commencing 6th and/or 13th April) will be at the new prices. Price changes for the New User incentive will follow the same principles as for standard Door to Door changes. Q. If I make a Late Sales booking w/c 2nd March 2009 for 30th March 2009, what price will I pay? A. The old prices will still apply. Q. If I make a Late Sales booking w/c 9th March 2009 for 6th April 2009, what price will I pay? A. The new prices will apply. Q. If I make additions and/or cancellations to a contract that was confirmed before 23rd February 2009, that has not yet been invoiced, but don’t accept the changes, will my contract update? A. If your contract has not been invoiced and you do not wish to accept the changes that you have made, your contract will remain at the price it was confirmed at. Q. If I make additions and/or cancellations to a contract that was confirmed before 23rd February 2009, and has not yet been invoiced, and accept the changes, what price will I pay? A. The whole contract will be charged at the new prices. Q. If I make cancellations to a contract that was confirmed before 23rd February 2009, and has been invoiced, what price will I pay? A. The contract will continue to be invoiced at the price it was confirmed at. Q. What is happening to the New Business Incentive pricing? A. Pricing will be the same as for the New User incentive. Q. When will changes to the allocation of postcodes to Sector Bands take place? A. These changes will take affect at the same time as the price changes on February 23rd 2009, affecting distributions for delivery on or after 6th April 2009. Q. When will we be advising details of the new Sector bandings? A. In the letter which we are sending out in January we will advise customers to check for the latest details on our Website. Q. Why will postcode sectors move Bands? A. They are allocated to the Sector Bands that reflect the true audience value, based on data collected since January 2007 Q. Will there be a change to the entry criteria? A. No, this will remain at £500 per contract Q. Will there be any change to the cancelation fees? A. No, the percentages will remain the same.
